Habitat to hold a Family Selection Orientation

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Moses Lake just completed their 11th home for a deserving family and plans for another Habitat home are underway. The Family Selection Committee will be holding a Family Selection Orientation where families can learn more about Habitat for Humanity as well as how they might qualify for a Habitat home. The event will take place on Monday, June 4th, 2012 from 5:30-8:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church at 1142 West Ivy in Moses Lake.

Curt McFarland, Co-President of Habitat for Humanity says, “This is a first-time event for Habitat. We hope we can educated the community about becoming a partner with Habitat as we build more and more homes. Habitat homes are comfortable, clean, up-to-date homes that are owned by our partner families. Each potential partner family will be asked to fill out a Habitat Partner application and hear about Habitat’s work in our community. If the partner family’s income and home situation qualify them for consideration they will have the opportunity to find out more about what it means to be a partner with Habitat for Humanity. Selected partner families will be notified within 3-4 weeks of the event.”
